A Company Secretary practice gets the same allowlist under the ICSI regime; the difference is the credential shown — an ICSI membership number (ACS or FCS) and optional Certificate of Practice number, in place of the ICAI membership number and FRN.
Questions practitioners ask
Can a chartered accountant have a website?
Yes. ICAI Council Guidelines permit a member or firm to maintain a website carrying plain particulars — name, address, contact details, membership number or FRN, services and qualifications — provided it operates on a pull basis, meaning the client comes looking for you rather than the site being pushed at them. What is barred is solicitation, advertising of attainments, testimonials, comparisons and fee promotion.
What does “pull basis” mean in practice?
It means a findable, factual site is permissible while an advertisement is not. Someone searching for your firm by name, or for a CA in your city, may find and read your particulars. The distinction is the difference between being available and being promoted.
Can I show client names or the engagements I have handled?
No. Named clients and engagement lists are withheld — they are both solicitation and, in most practices, a confidentiality problem. This is applied at the platform level rather than being a setting.
Can clients pay my fees through the site?
No. Advertising of fees is restricted under the ICAI guidelines, so a CA or CS practice site on Storzu carries no public fee display and no payment link. Consultation requests are supported; fee collection stays outside the public page.
Does this cover Company Secretaries too?
Yes. The ICSI advertising regime mirrors ICAI's, so a CS practice gets the same allowlist — the difference is the credential collected and displayed: an ICSI membership number (ACS or FCS) and, optionally, a Certificate of Practice number, in place of the ICAI membership number and FRN.
What can I actually list?
Your member or firm name, membership number or FRN, contact details, qualifications, and the services you offer — the plain particulars a prospective client needs to identify and verify you. Clients can check your membership number against the ICAI or ICSI register.
What does it cost?
