In short
Storzu builds a salon or beauty parlour website that takes appointments online. You publish your service menu with prices and durations, clients pick a time themselves, and the same slot cannot be handed to two people. Bookings, the client's history and no-shows all live in one dashboard, and the plan is free to start.
Booking that matches how a salon actually runs
Durations are the part most booking tools get wrong for a salon. A cut is forty minutes and a colour is two hours, so a calendar that treats every appointment as one block either wastes your afternoon or overbooks it. Each service carries its own duration, and the day is offered accordingly.
Two clients tapping the last evening slot at the same moment is handled where it has to be — in the database. The slot is claimed by writing it, and the second write is refused. What the storefront shows is a convenience; it is never the thing deciding who got the chair.
If your parlour runs on walk-ins more than on fixed times, a token queue is closer to the truth than an appointment book — clients take a position rather than a promised minute, and nobody is told 6:20pm when you both know it means “sometime after six”.
What it does not do
Storzu does not hold a deposit when a client books. The appointment is recorded as unpaid and the client pays you at the salon. If taking an advance online is the specific thing you need — because no-shows are costing you real money and a reminder has not fixed it — a platform built around prepaid bookings will serve you better, and it is worth saying so plainly.
What is here instead: reminders over WhatsApp, SMS and email on paid plans, a no-show marked as its own outcome rather than a cancellation, and a record of which clients do it repeatedly.
Questions salon owners ask
Can clients book without calling or messaging?
Yes. You publish your service menu and working hours, and the site offers only the times that are genuinely free. Clients pick a service and a slot themselves. You can also run a token queue instead of fixed times, which suits a walk-in-heavy parlour better than pretending everyone gets a promised minute.
What stops two clients booking the same slot?
The database does, not the screen. A slot is claimed by writing it, and the write is refused if that seat is already taken — so two people tapping the last 6pm slot at the same moment cannot both get it. Availability shown on the storefront is a convenience; the booking itself is where the decision is made.
Can I take an advance or deposit when a client books?
Not online, and it is worth being direct about that. A booking is recorded as unpaid and the client pays you at the salon, by UPI, card or cash. If advance payment is what you need to stop no-shows, Storzu does not solve that today — a platform that holds deposits will serve you better for that one job.
Can I assign bookings to a particular stylist?
Yes. Bookings can be assigned to a specific person, so a client who always sees the same stylist is booked with them rather than with the salon in general, and each person's day is theirs.
How do I deal with no-shows?
A booking can be marked as a no-show, which is a distinct outcome from a cancellation — the slot was lost, not released. That keeps your numbers honest and gives you a record when a client does it repeatedly. Reminders over WhatsApp, SMS and email are the practical prevention, and they are available on paid plans (₹199/month and up).
What about holidays and days I am closed?
Blackout dates keep you off the calendar entirely on days you are not working, and your published hours do the rest. Clients see nothing bookable rather than a slot you then have to phone them about.
Is it really free, or free for a trial?
Free permanently. The Free plan is ₹0 and covers 10 services and 30 bookings a month, with no card required and no commission on a booking. A busy salon passes 30 bookings quickly and moves to Growth (₹199/month, 50 services, unlimited bookings), which also brings your own domain and online payments.
Can my front-desk staff have their own login?
Yes, on the higher plans. Growth Plus includes 2 staff accounts and Pro includes 5, each limited to the parts of the dashboard you allow — so reception can manage the day's bookings without seeing your revenue.
